FAQ
How does the sliding lid work?
The box has recessed channels near the top of both side walls. The separate lid slides into these channels from the front and stops against the back wall.
What clearance should I use?
A starting value of 0.35 mm is suitable for many FDM printers, but the best fit depends on your printer, filament and calibration. Increase the clearance if the lid is too tight.
How should the parts be printed?
Print the box upright with the bottom on the build plate. Print the lid flat. The short bridges above the side grooves are designed to be small enough that supports are normally unnecessary.
Why does the lid have a small front tab?
The tab makes the lid easier to pull open without adding a separate handle or requiring support material.
